Black Moon Bathhouse is seeking to raise 1.5 million dollars in total.  75% of that capital raising is being solicited by accredited investors and the other 25% crowdfunded by interested folks like yourself and smaller investors. To hold space for all women through the Black, Queer and Feminist lens means to prioritize the comfort and safety of Black women. In most spaces Black women are othered, silenced, and violently policed. Our company recognizes that the least cared for demographic are Black queer women and by anchoring our holistic care practice in the care of Black women we in turn foster an inclusive and safe care practice.

Black Moon Bathhouse is a pioneering establishment founded with a profound purpose and a rich background deeply rooted in the principles of holistic wellness, community empowerment, and inclusinclusivenesse. At its core, Black Moon Bathhouse aims to provide a sanctuary for women and fem-identified individuals to engage in deep self-care practices through a lens that celebrates Black, queer, and feminist perspectives. Black Moon Bathhouse (BMB) is a co-op operated and Black Queer Woman-owned care-conscious apothecary and women and fem-identified bathhouse. We provide a variety of wellness services, a steam room, infrared sauna and cold plunge pool. The apothecary offers CBD, hemp and herbal products along with organic and locally grown herbs for smoking/smudging, steaming, tea and baths. BMB combines radical self-care and wellness with bodywork, herbal products and community among diverse SOGIE identities in Metro Detroit. Black Moon Bathhouse provides a care-conscious approach to our cannabis plants and our bathhouse guests. In a time where folks are being conscious about their health and wellness and the health and wellness of the things they consume, cannabis and care of self are on that list. With self-care and body positivism being so connected, many women are looking for women-only spaces to work out and relax. The bathhouse provides that being women-only with co-ed nights and special events. Our care-conscious approach to the growth of our herbs solidifies our holistic practice of care of self inside and out. 

The spa industry generates on average $15 million- $20 million annually on average with the majority of that revenue coming from women. It’s only right women participate in the industry as business owners. With our targeted market being 12-61+ women and men, we cover a wide range of consumers. We are a lounge, herbal apothecary and bathhouse solidifying ourselves in 3 distinct markets. This allows our business to attract a diverse array of consumers and diversify our revenue streams. 

Our apothecary solves the problem of Black women, all women and spiritually-inclined folks who are looking for sustainably locally grown herbs. Our bathhouse offers a nude safe-space for all women looking to enjoy the bathhouse culture of steaming, somatic bodywork and therapy and spa services.

Bell Hooks sums up my business vision perfectly with the quote, "Rarely, if ever, are any of us healed in isolation. Healing is an act of communion." This became even more a reality for folks after the pandemic, needing to heal in community. I want to provide that space for under-served communities and demographics.
