Hello everyone!
My name is Marina and together with my mom, we are excited to embark on a new project: starting our own food truck specializing in Venezuelan arepas and empanadas!
As migrants in this country for the past 8 years, we have faced many challenges, but we have always sought to move forward with effort and dedication. Some time ago, with all our savings, we managed to open a small business that filled us with excitement and allowed us to share a piece of our culture through food. However, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, we were forced to close our doors, losing not only our business but also our main source of income.
Now, we are ready to start again, with more strength and determination than ever. Our idea is to open a small food truck to be able to move around and visit various locations during the week to sell our delicious Venezuelan arepas and empanadas. However, to achieve this, we need your help.
The initial investment for the food truck is $10,000, plus the cost of ingredients. Every contribution you make along with our savings,brings us one step closer to our dream. With your support, we will not only be building our own future, but we will also be sharing a piece of our culture and tradition with all of you.

Mi nombre es Marina y junto con mi mamá, estamos emocionados de emprender un nuevo proyecto: ¡montar nuestro propio food truck de arepas y empanadas venezolanas!
Como migrantes en este país desde hace 8 años, hemos enfrentado muchos desafíos, pero siempre hemos buscado salir adelante con esfuerzo y dedicación. Hace un tiempo, con todos nuestros ahorros, logramos abrir un pequeño negocio que nos llenó de ilusión y nos permitió compartir un pedacito de nuestra cultura a través de la comida. Sin embargo, cuando llegó la pandemia de COVID-19, nos vimos obligadas a cerrar nuestras puertas, perdiendo no solo nuestro negocio, sino también nuestra principal fuente de ingresos.
Ahora, estamos listas para comenzar de nuevo, con más fuerza y determinación que nunca. Nuestra idea es abrir un food truck pequeño para poder movilizarlo e ir a varios puntos durante la semana a vender nuestras deliciosas arepas y empanadas venezolanas. Sin embargo, para lograrlo, necesitamos su ayuda.
La inversión inicial para el food truck es de $10,000, más el costo de la materia prima. Cada contribución que hagan junto con nuestros ahorros, nos acerca un paso más a nuestro sueño.
